Testimony 6
I asked the Lord the reason for my lack of understanding of the imageries, sometimes I couldn’t even figure out what I saw. Why does He communicate in intriguing visions? Why not just communicate with me in voices more often? He replied with another imagery, but this time round I completely grasped the meaning. I saw the upper body of a nun lookalike figure; she was dressed in a habit with folded hands near to the chest, a barbell was rested in between her upper arm and the forearm. What is the message that God is trying to convey? He was telling me that I was praying with weight instead of love. Prayer is like a burden to me. I treated prayer like another gym session, just a routine to maintain my spirituality with no feelings. This reminded me of what St Paul wrote: “If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.” (1 Corinthians: 13:1-2)
