Testimony 4

I had been betting small amount on lottery for a while, to me it wouldn’t hurt anyway because the amount was inconsequential. But there was one time I felt very uncomfortable while queueing up to bet, I sensed something was creeping into me from my backbone. And this came to my mind: if I strike consolation prize, for example fifty dollars, fifty units of greed will be streamed into me. And if I strike one million dollars, one million units of greed will be rushed into me, I will be totally devoured and not forgetting the winner had to bear the curses of those who didn’t win. This frightened me intensely, as I did not want to open my spiritual portal to sin of greed. I stopped eventually after a few rounds of overcoming my compulsion. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
