Testimony 20
We were singing praise and worship songs in a prayer session when a feeling overwhelmed me. A layer of heat wrapped me in, and my whole body was also emanating a subtle sense of warmth. I became aware of Charlie coming into the room although my back faced the entrance. True enough, when I turned my head, I saw him. He was on crutches with a foot cast because he had a traffic accident recently. A very immense feeling; a sensation which did not originate from me but from the heat I was cuddled with, prompted me that Charlie would be healed. This was Jesus speaking, He embraced me from my toes to my every strand of hair with this heat. Having this feel for the third time, I knew I had to act.
I had never expected myself to be like Jesus going around to heal thousands, that would take an immeasurable amount of faith. So I shared with Charlie my experiences after the prayer session, he was receptive to the message Jesus would heal him. I kind of assumed that he would stand up and walk after I released the message, but nothing happened. Where did I go wrong? Was I supposed to lay hands on him?
Three weeks later, Chris recuperated and with the cast removed, he managed to walk elegantly with no staggering. The doctor told him that a patient with a fractured foot rarely recovered in such a short time.
From this lesson, I learn that God answers prayers in His time and in his way. I have to be patient and that I am not Jesus. In the Bible, Jesus healed the sick immediately with his words because of His love for us and His intimate relationship with God the Father. What about me? I need to do some reflections before I question His existence when my prayers leave unanswered.
