Senior IT Applications Analyst

Job Summary:

The Senior IT Application Analyst manages and supports primarily the School’s K-12 Student Information System, Portals and other Educational related software systems. Manages the planning, implementation, data entry and retrieval, systems and data integration, upgrade and maintenance of the software applications. In-depth understanding of the Student Data to provide data analysis, report design and development of systems and processes. Ability to work well independently and as part of the team.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

As a member of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Team, your key responsibilities are as follows: 

●       Primary technical lead for Student Information System, School Portal and school support systems.

●       Support and maintenance of the school systems by performing systems analysis, problem solving, debugging, testing and deployment.

●       Prepare SQL scripts, Stored Procedures to perform data extraction, cleaning and data loading tasks.

●       Develop queries and report formulation for users.

●       Work with the software vendors on program enhancement, fix and patch releases.

●       Conduct business process analysis, requirements gathering, design, development and deployment to meet future school needs.

●       Oversees the development of data integration between multiple software systems.

●       Interface with end-users to understand issues and needs.

●       Document business user requirements, processes and specifications.

●       Provide end-user training on using the software

At times, you may also be required to undertake additional duties or work outside of your normal working hours which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the position.

Requirements

●       Minimum qualification of Diploma/Degree in IT or equivalent.

●       1-3 years of working experience in supporting Student Information Systems or ERP will be highly advantageous

●       Good working knowledge of Database SQL is essential.

●       Proficient in reporting tools such as Crystal Report, SQL Reporting Services and PowerBI.

●       Knowledge of front-end programming languages such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, etc.

●       Knowledge in developing API using JavaScript, PHP, .NET, etc. will be advantageous

●       Experience with cloud integration platforms and custom API  integration is a big plus.

●       Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate requirements and issues clearly and concisely. 

●       Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact, communicate effectively with different stakeholders, users and vendors.

●       Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

●       Must be a good team player, with proactive and positive attitude

●       Prior experience in the education sector a plus
