Lead UX Designer

experience at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product design process for our Church digital platform to serve the needs of the laity and Archdiocese offices.
  • Work closely with a small cross-functional team consisting of a product manager, engineer, researcher, designer and product support specialists to understand user behaviors and advocate human-centered approaches from ideation to launch.
  • Plan and run research, and conduct usability tests to identify opportunities for optimising user journeys and incorporate user feedback to iterate design solutions.
  • Translate user stories, business requirements and research findings into effective user flows and experiences whether for new features or to enhance the digital journey.
  • Deliver and review design solutions in the form of low fidelity wireframes and prototypes, up to final high fidelity designs for implementation.
  • Define and maintain the visual and UX patterns for the church digital platform to cultivate a consistent and intuitive experience.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years in designing web/mobile products
  • User empathy
  • Knowledge in design thinking, design system, user research and prototyping.
  • Ability to think at a high level about a complex product and articulate design decisions with an openness to taking feedback.
  • Ability to grasp and influence the product vision, product goals and communicate them clearly and regularly to the team.
  • Proactive and responsible team player with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong design ethos, deep understanding and practical experience in user experience design.
  • Proficient in software such as Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe XD, Miro or equivalent.

Good to Have

  • Experience working in a product team
  • Experience working remotely in distributed teams
